Welcome to the 45th Annual Conference of the Local Government Finance Professionals Queensland.
The conference brings together local government professionals from across Queensland and interstate to hear the latest trends and insights, share expertise and network.
The theme for this year’s conference is Unlocking Potential - a call to recognise the potential that exists within our organisations, our systems, and ourselves.
As local government professionals, we’re often focused on delivering outcomes, meeting deadlines, and managing risk. This conference provides the space to step back and consider where new opportunities might lie - whether through smarter ways of working, better use of resources, or investing in personal growth and wellbeing.
The conference will be held at the Pullman Cairns International, Cairns from the evening of Tuesday 18th November, concluding with our Gala Dinner on Thursday 20th November 2025. The conference will be preceded by a custom designed Masterclass 'Project Management Fundamentals for Finance Professionals'.
